My husband and I just moved to the area and needed to clean our lovely Persian rug that I inherited from my Armenian grandmother.
Fred Kaoud Jr. was very responsive to my inquiries and extremely knowledgeable. The Kaoud team carefully removed many years of dust and hand washed our precious heirloom. In addition, the installation team helped with sound recommendations on where to position the rug in our new home once it was cleaned. It looks stunning! Kaoud Carpets & Rugs in Wilton is a gem of a store. Fred Kaoud and his staff are helpful without being overbearing. They are focused on customer satisfaction. Their pricing is competitive with any of the large retailers. I was able to get a high end product at a price I could afford. Besides stocking an impressive selection of oriental carpets, they offer an extensive variety of broadloom carpets as well as hardwoods, laminates and other flooring - something I did not realize until I got there. I am happy to have discovered Kaoud in Wilton because now I know it is the only place I need to go for carpeting or flooring. We built our retirement home in North Carolina, I made sure that I purchased my rugs from Kaoud Carpets & Rugs! Fred Kaoud Jr has an amazing eye for color selections and he can recommendation rugs based on your style. He has been spot on with our selections. Whether you are looking for a runner, carpet for stairs, or showcase pieces for your living areas their selections are amazing! We even got our outdoor rugs for our screened porch. Every year when we travel back up to CT, we make a point of stopping by the Wilton store to check out the inventory and to catch up with the Kaouds! We went to Kaoud Carpets for a runner on our staircase. When we entered, Fred immediately greeted us and guided us through the plethora of options. We had a wonderful experience with Kaoud Carpet when we downsized to a new house. Fred and his team were ultimate professionals, and Fred was especially adept at communicating regularly and clearly via email. They cleaned and repaired at least 8 Oriental carpets and all look wonderful. One was a multi-generational much used carpet that was worn and tired looking, and now looks beautiful. The work took some time, but Fred was very upfront about this at the beginning. The cost of delivery was built into the total cost which was paid upfront, and that plan served us well. We always knew the status of each carpet, thanks to Fred's emails. All in all, not only was their cleaning and repair excellent, but the combination of utter professionalism, yet informal, friendly, and communicative style informed our five star review. - 5/17/2021 

From the very beginning, as soon as I walked in the door, my experience with Fred Kaoud and Kaoud Carpets & Rugs has been nothing but exceptional. I had to have a very fine rug that has been in my family for over 35 years cared for. Unfortunately, it had suffered significant damage from both water and moths. Thankfully only around the edges. At first, I wanted to just stop the bleeding, but what Fred and his very talented in house weaver suggested, although radical, brought my family heirloom back to its former glory. Pictures can not even come close to describing the end result. The outside border was removed, the edges rebound and fringe overcasted. The rug is now absolutely perfect with no compromises or imperfections. Although now a bit smaller in size, it is a remarkable piece that has been brought back to its former glory. I am absolutely confident that this rug will be passed down to the next generation, just like all fine hand woven rugs should be. Thank you, Fred and Kaoud Rugs. - 2/04/2020 

Kaoud did an amazing job on our rugs. The rugs were very soiled but Kaoud washed them repeatedly over several weeks and when they were returned they looked, and felt like they have never been used. There were no odors of any sort either. Just fresh clean rugs. Excellent service. - 8/29/2020 

Kaoud Carpets and Rugs provided exceptional service regarding the cleaning and moth proofing of 16 of my heirloom Persian rugs--starting with the phone call I had with Fred Kaoud, Jr. Mr. Kaoud arrived at our home the very next day to personally inspect the carpets. He patiently explained the problems with each one, the process by which his firm cleans and moths proofs. He also provided a detailed account of each rug, its age and origin. Six weeks later the rugs returned home----now silky, exquisitely clean, the colors vibrant. They have never looked this good. His professional team brought the rugs in and expertly placed them around the house, explaining why some rugs should be placed in the same room with another rug, due to the common origin and related designs. Fred and his team were a delight to work with. We can't say enough about Kaoud Carpets and Rugs-For anyone who treasures their rugs as heirloom quality art, Kaoud is the only place to go. - 5/05/2019

Extremely pleased with our service from Kaoud. The showroom had an abundance of options, but Fred helped us narrow down to several choices and sent us swatches to within the week. Once we selected our carpet, we placed the order and had it installed e within a couple of weeks. The installation was professionally done and the installer walked through a few cutting options with us and listened to our wishes before offering his own suggestion. Highly recommend! - 3/21/2023 

I ordered several rugs from Fred Kaoud Carpets & Rugs, and my experience was superb! Fred Kaoud, Jr. was very attentive to my specific needs, first in choosing and ordering beautiful natural rugs for my luxury rental property. Per my rental contract, I had to furnish the rugs by August 1st. However, the rugs which I ordered could only be delivered by the end of August. To resolve this problem, Fred Jr. actually created temporary loaner rugs according to the sizes of my ordered rugs, and delivered these loaner rugs to my property by August 1st, free of charge! When the rugs I ordered came in, he replaced the loaner rugs by these rugs, again free of charge! It is difficult to find such high level of personalized service anywhere! Also, Fred Jr. is a wonderful, warm and positive person, and is a pleasure to deal with! I highly recommend Fred Kaoud Carpets & Rugs! - 10/10/2020

Kaoud (and Fred specifically) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service, not to mention they did a great job cleaning our rug. I felt Fred went above and beyond, even sending us photo updates throughout the cleaning process. Our rug, which was very overdue for a cleaning, is noticeably more vibrant and softer. We felt very safe having our rug cleaned during the COVID crisis, Kaoud took extra precautions and still turned our rug around very quickly. Prices were in line with industry standard. Fred Kaoud and Kaoud Carpets in Wilton gave excellent service. We originally purchased our living room and dining room carpets from them many years ago. This was the first time we sent the rugs out to be cleaned. Fred kept us informed via e-mail. They picked up and delivered our carpets, and refringed the 10x14 ft carpet. They had to do multiple extractions and included new pads. We had an old stain from dropping a green bean casserole on one rug many years ago and they did an excellent job of removing the stain. The two delivery men, Ben and Jose, did a wonderful job and were very professional. We appreciated that they wore masks. I would highly recommend Kaoud Carpets in Wilton. - 7/22/2020

It's rare now-a-days to get the quality of service and product that you receive from the Kaouds. As soon as you walk into the store, you receive quality service with a smile and most importantly, patience. They are very calm and quite professional. No pressure to buy either.
I just purchased wall-to-wall carpet for our family room. I assumed that they only sold orientals, but I was wrong. My friend had told me to go see what they had. She was also looking for broadloam for a staging job she was doing in Weston and was quite happy with what she found. I had purchased an oriental rug from them years ago and was quite happy then. So I decided to go there to see their selection. I was pleasantly surprised with their vast selection of sisals and jutes! I wanted a modern contemporary look and they had it all. Joanne Kaoud even offered to come to my home with a variety of samples. She came with an arm full of choices, with a big smile on her face, so I could see them in the room. We even had coffee together. Those little things mean a lot! I'm from Minneapolis and out East you don't always get the quality service that I received from the Kaouds. The carpet looks fabulous! Better that I ever expected! Plus with the scrap, Fred Kaoud suggested that they bind the edges and now I have an extra rug in the parlor!
