It's rare now-a-days to get the quality of service and product that you receive from the Kaouds. As soon as you walk into the store, you receive quality service with a smile and most importantly, patience. They are very calm and quite professional. No pressure to buy either.
I just purchased wall-to-wall carpet for our family room. I assumed that they only sold orientals, but I was wrong. My friend had told me to go see what they had. She was also looking for broadloam for a staging job she was doing in Weston and was quite happy with what she found. I had purchased an oriental rug from them years ago and was quite happy then. So I decided to go there to see their selection. I was pleasantly surprised with their vast selection of sisals and jutes! I wanted a modern contemporary look and they had it all. Joanne Kaoud even offered to come to my home with a variety of samples. She came with an arm full of choices, with a big smile on her face, so I could see them in the room. We even had coffee together. Those little things mean a lot! I'm from Minneapolis and out East you don't always get the quality service that I received from the Kaouds. The carpet looks fabulous! Better that I ever expected! Plus with the scrap, Fred Kaoud suggested that they bind the edges and now I have an extra rug in the parlor!

We had a large vintage kilim that had holes in it. We couldn't decide whether to spend the money to get it fixed or to buy a new rug. We ended up having our rug repaired and cleaned by Kaoud and we're thrilled with the results! They custom dyed the yarns for a perfect match to reweave the deteriorated areas (there were many). We just got the rug back yesterday and they really delivered everything they promised; it is now something we'll keep forever. Nice, knowledgable people, and they didn't pressure us at all. We had a wonderful experience with Kaoud Carpet when we downsized to a new house. Fred and his team were ultimate professionals, and Fred was especially adept at communicating regularly and clearly via email. They cleaned and repaired at least 8 Oriental carpets and all look wonderful. One was a multi-generational much used carpet that was worn and tired looking, and now looks beautiful. The work took some time, but Fred was very upfront about this at the beginning. The cost of delivery was built into the total cost which was paid upfront, and that plan served us well. We always knew the status of each carpet, thanks to Fred's emails. All in all, not only was their cleaning and repair excellent, but the combination of utter professionalism, yet informal, friendly, and communicative style informed our five star review. - 5/17/2021

This was our first time visiting Kaoud Carpets & Rugs, and we will be returning there soon to make our next purchase. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the store. Joanne gave us the choice to browse on our own or , if we wanted help, to receive pressure-free advice. We have been Kaoud customers since the late 1960's when they were located in Milford, CT; and , then went to their new showroom in Wilton when it opened in the late 1980's. No words can adequately express the professionalism of this family owned company. They recently went "above and beyond" in helping us with an unusual situation with one of our Karastan rugs. Kaoud Carpets and Rugs did an absolutely phenomenal job cleaning and restoring a hand-knit wool rug that I had shipped from *** It was beyond dirty, full of dust. I am sure it hadn't been cleaned in years (if ever!). When they delivered it to my home, it looked like a brand-new rug. The colors were vivid, and it feels soft under foot. I am so thrilled they took such wonderful care of this rug that is precious to me because it was my parents'. I would not trust anyone else with my rugs.
